Who We Work
Choosing the Right Job
-
The first step is to check the opportunities available on our website. Then, review the job description to ensure it aligns with your professional profile. Typically, the ideal position for you is the one where you have the most experience over the past five years.

-
Remember: if you don’t find a job that matches your profile, it’s not advisable to apply for a position you lack experience in. Instead, register in our Talent Pool through the Master Forms and stay available for future opportunities.
Creating Your Resume
-
After selecting the job you want to apply for, download our template and use it as a guide to create your resume. It’s important that you write your resume yourself, always referring to the job description to ensure it is complete and aligned with the position’s requirements.

-
Your resume must be entirely in English (even if you speak French). Take advantage of free tools available online, such as ChatGPT, Google Translator, Grammarly, and others, to assist you in writing and proofreading.

Completing the Application
-
Fill out our application form with all the requested information. Make sure to enter your email and phone number correctly, as these are the means by which we will contact you.

-
No certified translation is required for the application. However, your resume must be in English. Additionally, you need to provide an official proof of language proficiency (such as CELPIP, IELTS, etc.) or take the free 90-minute EF SET test and attach the result to your application.
Application Evaluation
-
At Work in Canada, we will receive your resume and check if it meets the requirements listed in the Job Description. Additional information may be requested, such as an updated resume, photos, or videos of your current work environment. If the candidate meets the requirements, they will be invited for a free oral English assessment.

-
The candidate must achieve at least level 4 in order for us to proceed with the application and present them to one of the employers. This ensures that the candidate is prepared to conduct the interview entirely in English. Some positions may not require English for the first interview; this information will be clearly stated in the Job Description.
Presentation to the Company
-
After receiving all the necessary documentation, we at Work in Canada will present the candidate to the recruiting company. The company will then evaluate the documentation and select the candidates they wish to interview. This process may take a few weeks.

-
Interviews will take place according to the company’s schedule, which may result in a waiting period. They can be either in-person or online, but we strongly recommend that the candidate attend the interview in person if they have any events in Brazil.
Scheduled Interview
-
Once selected by the company, your interview will be scheduled. Remember to be punctual and, above all, prepare well, as this is a job interview. Your performance will be key to moving forward in the process.

-
If you are not selected at this stage, don't worry. We will continue to present you to other companies. Keep in mind that only the selected candidates will be informed about the interview.
Result
-
After the interview, the company usually takes 2 to 3 weeks to provide feedback. In some cases, we at Work in Canada will send the result by email, but in most cases, the company will inform the candidate directly.

-
Remember that, as with any job interview, there are three possible outcomes:
The candidate moves on to the next stage, where new interviews will be scheduled. The company will take over the process from there.
The candidate does not advance to the next stage but is informed that they need to improve their English level or gain more experience. In this case, we recommend reapplying for the same position after 1 year, once the necessary improvements have been made. If the problem is your level of English, we recommend that you only request a new interview once you have taken an official test (such as CELPIP, IELTS, etc.). In this case, you can request a new interview as soon as you have the test's result in your hand.
The candidate does not move forward to the next stage and will no longer be considered for that position in this company. Even with the right English skills and experience, the company may decide not to proceed with the application. In this case, we at Work in Canada will continue to look for new opportunities that match your profile, but we will no longer be able to present you to the same company.
