Responsibilities
Strong safety mindset, ability to work with safety protocols, utilization of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and demonstrate proficiency in managing hazardous activities while ensuring personal and team safety
Build modular concrete form systems (Peri, Aluma, Fly-Forms, Skydeck, Stick-build)
Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials to create formwork structures
Follow all company safety instructions and regulations to provide a safe working environment
Operating hand tools and power actuated tools
Safely handle, erect, dismantle/remove all types of concrete forming equipment and materials
Measure, layout and install various types of concrete embedded items; anchor bolts, plates, water stops.
Follow all company safety instructions and regulations to provide a safe working environment
Read, interpret and act on instructions from supervision
Properly and safely install formwork ties, bracing, work platforms
Ability to do physical labour and other strenuous physical tasks.
Work as a team player to meet project milestones
Keep work areas clean and organized
Qualifications
Proven experience in formwork construction with a minimum of 1 years in role is considered an asset
Experience working with modular systems such as Peri (Skydeck and/or Trio), Doka, Aluma,
Efco will be considered an asset
Red Seal Carpenter considered an asset
Ability to communicate on predominantly English/French speaking work sites
Able to work some overtime as required
Work in different weather situations and site conditions
Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
Demonstrate a high level of safety consciousness
Ability to work at heights
Ability and willingness to travel (usual return home for weekends)
Must be punctual and reliable.
Must be willing to learn.
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
