Responsibilities 

  • Strong safety mindset, ability to work with safety protocols, utilization of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and demonstrate proficiency in managing hazardous activities while ensuring personal and team safety.

  • Provide leadership and direction to on-site supervisors and staff, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, regularly meeting with customers to ensure job requirements and long-term expectations are met.

  • Actively seek out and pursue new business opportunities through existing and potential customers, and tender sites.

  • Monitor operational and financial metrics, develop and implement initiatives for operational improvement and growth, and participate in budgeting and capital planning.

  • Continually develop team skills through coaching and mentoring, ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, and work closely with support functions to meet operational goals.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in a related industry. Management experience in construction, with a background in piling and deep foundations is considered an asset.

  • Intermediate level of English.

  • Certification or courses in workplace safety are considered an asset.

  • Associate’s degree with equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Operations or Engineering is considered an asset.

  • Valid driver’s license. 

  • Lean or Six Sigma certifications or equivalent continuous improvement experience is considered an asset.

  • Strong technical background with experience in process management and quality assurance programs.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.

  • Proven leadership, team building, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems.

  • Action-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills for managing complex customer relationships.
