Responsibilities

Strong safety mindset, ability to work with safety protocols, utilization of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and demonstrate proficiency in managing hazardous activities while ensuring personal and team safety
Lead and manage a team of carpenters, labourers and operators to construct concrete structures
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient utilization of resources
Motivate the team to maintain a high level of productivity and quality workmanship
Oversee installation of formwork systems (Peri, Aluma, Fly-Forms, Skydeck, Stick-build)
Coordinate with project managers and clients to resolve technical issues related to formwork design and installation
Conduct regular safety meetings (hazard assessments, toolbox meetings) and inspections to identify and control potential hazards
Take immediate action to address safety concerns ensuring the well-being of workers
Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project plans, schedule and budget
Coordinate with subcontractors and supplier to procure material and equipment needed for formwork construction

Proven experience in formwork construction with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisor or leadership role is considered an asset
In-depth knowledge of formwork systems
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate the team
Problem solving skills with ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders
Ability to communicate on predominantly English-speaking work sites
Able to work some overtime as required
Work in different weather situations and site conditions
Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
Demonstrate a high level of safety consciousness
Ability to work at heights
Ability and willingness to travel (usual return home for weekends)
Possess a valid driver license
Ability to work independently in a busy environment
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Strong attention to detail
Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
Computer literate
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations
