Responsibilities 

  • Strong safety mindset, ability to work with safety protocols, utilization of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and demonstrate proficiency in managing hazardous activities while ensuring personal and team safety.

  • Analyze, design, and implement improvements in manufacturing processes to increase productivity, efficiency, and quality.

  • Support mill operations with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

  • Develop and apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and reduce waste.

  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement process modifications and new technologies.

  • Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and capacity planning.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.

  • Prepare technical documentation, project reports, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience

  • Fluent level of English.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience in manufacturing, process industries, or pulp and paper operations (asset).

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

  • Proficiency with CAD, process modeling, and data analysis tools.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Technical English (written and spoken).
