Responsibilities
Strong safety mindset, ability to work with safety protocols, utilization of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and demonstrate proficiency in managing hazardous activities while ensuring personal and team safety.
Assist with planning and controlling the construction of allocated projects to ensure completion in accordance with design requirements, safety standards, and time and cost restraints to achieve profit objectives.
Align resources required to execute the projects. Prepare budget and cost report tracking.
Manage sub-contractors and suppliers.
Interact with clients/customers.
Quantify design changes.
Manage progress claims and change orders with customers.
Ensure project meets Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.
RFI, submittals, transmittals, as built, closeout binder.
Qualifications
3 years of experience with directly related job experience on large civil projects.
Intermediate English.
Civil Engineering Degree or Civil Engineering Technology Diploma.
Certification or courses in workplace safety are considered an asset.
Advanced understanding of civil engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas to others.
Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Project and Excel.
Ability to work independently.
Demonstrate organization and clear communication.Â
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills.
Exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification would be considered an asset.
