Responsibilities
Strong safety mindset, ability to work with safety protocols, utilization of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and demonstrate proficiency in managing hazardous activities while ensuring personal and team safety.
Develop site work schedules and ensure work plan in place and all environmental and safety requirements (i.e., Permits) are met before job start up.
Resource management, prepare budget, and cost report tracking.
Manage contract administration, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings with client for problem resolution and quantify design changes.
Act as a coach, mentor, and resource to teams.
Design compliance, ensure construction activities adhere to the approve design specifications and standards.
Problem resolution, identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction.
Generate and submit progress claims/invoicing.
Qualifications
5 years of experience in the heavy civil construction field. 5-10 years of experience in the heavy civil construction field are considered an asset.
Advance level of English.
Civil Engineering Technology Diploma.
Civil Engineering Degree is considered an asset.
P. Tech.
P. Eng or Project Management Professional (PMP) are considered an asset.
Strong financial understanding.
Advanced understanding of civil engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas to others.
Strong leadership skills within the field of expertise and the ability to coach and mentor others.
Microsoft Project and Excel.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
